Accolade from Managed Healthcare Executive Recognizes Healthcare Trailblazers

Sriraman Srinivasan, CMOAdvanced ICU Care, the nation’s leading provider of high-acuity telemedicine services, announced that the company’s Chief Medical Officer (CMO), Dr. S. Ram Srinivasan, has been honored by Managed Healthcare Executive as an Emerging Healthcare Leader for 2020. The awards program spotlights rising stars in healthcare who are innovating across pharmacy, community health, health plans, health systems, health philanthropy, and technology sectors. “I am honored to be recognized as a 2020 Emerging Healthcare Leader by Managed Healthcare Executive. Especially in the past year, technology-enabled care solutions such as tele-ICU have proved their immense value to the healthcare industry, addressing both on-going needs and urgent, pandemic-related challenges. Our telecare continues to demonstrate its ability to positively and significantly impact clinical results,” said Dr. Srinivasan. “I am proud of our clinical and operational teams’ work supporting bedside providers at more than 100 partner hospitals and enhancing the delivery of care to our shared patients in response to the challenges of COVID-19.”
Managed Healthcare Executive is a healthcare publication targeted to industry executives and healthcare professionals. For the Emerging Healthcare Leaders awards program, the editorial team evaluated candidates based on the key initiatives they have led at their organizations or in collaboration with relevant organizations over the past year, their actions that led to measurable, positive industry impacts, accomplishments new or unique in the industry, and how they continued to take on more advanced roles and responsibilities in their care career path. Dr. Srinivasan began his career as an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Georgetown University Hospital. He subsequently became board-certified in critical care at George Washington University. He joined Advanced ICU Care as a Regional Medical Director in 2015 and rose to CMO in 2019, managing a tele-ICU that cares for 80,000+ critically ill patients annually. In his role as a telemedicine leader, Dr. Srinivasan is part of a team of intensivists that work from nine technology-enabled care centers across six time-zones to provide 24 x 7 x 365 care to more than 100 hospitals. He remains clinically active at the bedside and in tele-ICU. Advanced ICU Care has successfully implemented and managed more high-acuity telemedicine programs than any other organization. With a team of U.S. board-certified clinicians that deliver ICU care and certified technicians who conduct high-acuity monitoring, the company addresses the critical care and ongoing patient observation needs of both health systems and individual hospitals nationwide.
