Lou Silverman, Advanced ICU Care’s CEO, joined other key industry executives to offer his thought leadership for Health Management Technology’s Telehealth Roundtable. In the article, he discusses how, during Advanced ICU Care’s 12-year history, the company has been able to overcome telehealth challenges such as interoperability and security to become the nation’s leading provider of tele-ICU clinical services.

mHealth Intelligence featured the tele-ICU partnership between Advanced ICU Care and Florida Hospital New Smyrna, which is part of the 45-hospital Adventist Health System (now AdventHealth). Ken Mattison, the hospital’s CEO, discusses the new partnership, which provides 24 x 7 x 365 intensivist care oversight of the New Smyrna’s ICU patients. Mattison explains that the hospital entered the partnership to improve patient care and support their bedside staff and that tele-ICU “has become the standard of care” for Florida Hospital New Smyrna.
