Leading Providers Share Telehealth Insights and Outlook in Webinar

“Telehealth’s Trajectory: Provider’s Perspectives on the Future”, a webinar co-hosted by Hicuity Health, investigated provider perspectives on the growth and utilization of telehealth. Now available for on-demand viewing, the webinar featured S. Ram Srinivasan MD, CMO of Hicuity Health, and Mandy Halford MD, SVP & CMIO of Covenant Health, with commentary focused on facility-hosted telemedicine. Their insights were augmented with data analytics from Ashley Berube of Definitive Health. The webinar highlighted the meteoric rise of telehealth adoption during the pandemic, the case for continued telehealth utilization and the factors affecting healthcare moving forward. Srinivasan and Halford offered insights focused on provider-to-provider telemedicine, highlighting how it was impacted by the COVID pandemic and how telemedicine will continue to address critical issues facing healthcare beyond the pandemic, including provider burnout, staffing shortages and the need to improve patient outcomes and equity. “Telehealth brings about a continuity of care that we need so that care is not disjointed,” noted Dr. Srinivasan. “The unification of EHR, audio/visual platforms and other aspects of technology aid us in helping the patient regardless of location.”
